What This Is

A new lens to weigh business decisions.

I don't do personal astrology readings, psychological astrology, or personality profiles. I answer specific business questions — the ones you're weighing heavily and need an answer you can't get anywhere else.

Horary is a branch of traditional astrology built for exactly this: one question, one chart cast for the moment the question is understood, one structured answer — and depending on the question, we can look at the timing, obstacles, and likely outcomes. It's been used as a decision-making tool for over a thousand years, long before SWOT analyses.

The questions that belong here carry real weight. They're the ones where the stakes are high enough that evaluating through a different lens could change everything.

Real questions from real business situations.

While any question with genuine emotional weight can be answered, I specialize in direct business matters. Your question and your answer are unique to you, but these are some of the areas that horary could provide an additional lens through which to consider your unique situation.

Timing

  • When will I receive the money I'm owed?
  • When will this deal close?

Pitches & Opportunity Evaluation

  • Will I win this pitch?
  • Should I take this offer?

Decision & Strategy

  • Should I pivot or stay the course?
  • Which of these two opportunities should I focus on?

People & Partnerships

  • How will this candidate perform in the role?
  • Will this partnership be a success?

Money & Resources

  • Will this be a wise investment?
  • If I hire this person, will I have the resources to sustain their employment?

Legal

  • Will I win my legal dispute?
  • Is this a good lawyer to handle my case?

Disclaimer: The Crosse Question does not provide financial, legal, or investment advice. Horary astrology is an additional lens through which to evaluate a situation and should not replace professional counsel in those areas.

The Tradition

An evaluation tool refined over centuries.

Horary astrology has a documented lineage stretching back over a thousand years. In the 13th century, Guido Bonatti, advisor to the Holy Roman Emperor, used it to counsel heads of state and military leaders. In the 17th century, William Lilly systematized the practice in London. His 1647 textbook is still the primary reference for practitioners today. In our era, the tradition has been sustained and advanced by astrologers like Deborah Houlding, whose School of Traditional Astrology has trained a new generation of horary practitioners worldwide.

The methods are rule-based and repeatable. Two qualified horary astrologers looking at the same chart will reach a very similar conclusion. That's not intuition — that's methodology.

How It Works

Fill out the intake form with some basic information about yourself and the situation you're navigating. I'll also ask for your birth details — not for a personality reading, but to validate the connection between you and the chart.

02

We have a short call

We'll talk through the background of your question and clarify the specifics. You don't need to arrive with a perfectly worded question — just describe what you're dealing with. The right question will surface naturally.

03

You receive my analysis

Within two days of our appointment, I'll send you a full written analysis with my recommendations — plain language, actionable, specific. Timing, obstacles, outcomes, and what I'd suggest you consider.

Setting Expectations

What this is not.

If you're picturing zodiac memes and pop horoscopes, this isn't that.

×

Not a personal reading

I don't do psychological astrology or personality profiles. This is strictly for business decisions that carry real stakes.

×

Not for questions that aren't yours to ask

Horary works best when you have a personal connection to the question being asked. Asking on behalf of a friend or for situations you don't have a direct connection with won't lead to reliable results.

×

Not idle curiosity

The question needs to carry emotional weight — a real decision you're actively wrestling with, not a hypothetical you're casually wondering about.

FAQ

Questions about the questions.

What exactly is horary astrology? +
Horary is one of the oldest branches of Western astrology, specifically designed to answer concrete questions. A chart is cast for the exact moment your question is formally understood by the astrologer, and that chart is read to determine timing, obstacles, outcomes, and hidden factors. Think of it as a diagnostic tool for decisions — one question, one structured answer. It's not about your personality or your future in general. It's about one specific thing you need to know right now.
Why do you need my birth information? +
I use your birth chart to validate the connection between you and the horary chart — it's a way to confirm that the chart is correctly reflecting your situation. You don't need to know your exact time of birth for this to work, though it's helpful if you have it. This is not a natal chart reading or personality assessment — it's a technical verification step.
Do I need to have my question perfectly worded? +
No. You can simply describe the situation you're in, and the question will clarify itself during our initial call. Most people come to me with a tangle of concerns — "I have this deal on the table but I'm not sure about the partner and the timing feels off." That's plenty. We'll work together to identify the question at the heart of it.
Do I have to "believe in" astrology for this to work? +
No. All that's required is a real question you're genuinely wrestling with and a willingness to consider the answer. Many of my clients are skeptics who find the framework useful as another input alongside their own analysis. You wouldn't need to understand the engineering behind an MRI to benefit from the scan.
What kind of answer will I get? +
An unbiased and direct one. Horary typically yields a yes or no along with context: the timing of an outcome, obstacles in the way, factors you may not be seeing, and the likely trajectory if you proceed. You'll receive a written analysis with recommendations in plain English.
Does horary mean my future is predetermined? +
No. I believe in free will. A horary chart reads the situation as it currently stands — the forces in play, the trajectory things are heading, and the factors you may not be seeing. But the whole point of seeking this kind of insight is to make a more informed decision. The chart doesn't dictate what you do — it gives you better information so you can choose your next move with greater clarity. You always retain full agency over your own choices.
What kinds of questions don't work well? +
Questions that are too broad ("What should I do with my life?"), purely hypothetical ("What if I had taken that other job?"), or asked without genuine intent. Horary also doesn't work well for questions where you have no personal connection to the outcome — such as predicting the results of an election or a sporting event. Horary works best when there's a real decision with real stakes that you're actively facing. The more specific the question, the more useful the answer.
What if you can't answer my question? +
It happens. Sometimes a chart indicates that the question has been asked too early, or the situation isn't ready to be read. If I feel I can't give you a reliable answer, I'll tell you — and I won't charge you for it. I'd rather turn down a question than give you something I don't stand behind.
Will my question be kept confidential? +
Completely. By participating, I do ask that you agree to let me use your question as a potential anonymous case study and that you report back to me on the outcome of the situation. But complete anonymity is maintained for all clients — no identifying details are ever shared.
When are you available? +
You can request a session on my calendar booking link. I maintain my office hours in Eastern Standard Time in the US. The Zoom appointment is just for me to understand your situation and the context of your question — your report and analysis will follow our meeting within two standard business days, unless I see other urgency in the chart. If my available office hours don't work for you, please just book a session during any available time slot and note in your booking input that you'd like an offline consultation and will provide all information via the booking form.
What are your credentials? +
I'm certified in horary astrology through the School of Traditional Astrology, founded and directed by Deborah Houlding. Houlding is an internationally recognized authority on horary astrology and is widely credited with sustaining and advancing the tradition in the modern era. The STA is endorsed by the Advisory Panel on Astrological Education and approved by the Association of Professional Astrologers International.
